Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah attended the inauguration and foundation-stone laying ceremony of Yamuna rejuvenation-related projects worth ₹8,941 crore in Delhi. Dr. M.L. The Ministry of Tourism is implementing Special Campaign 6.0 to promote cleanliness, enhance workplace efficiency, and expedite pending matters across its offices, India Tourism Offices, Institutes of Hotel Management, IITTM, and ITDC. Operating in coordination with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) portal, the Ministry identified 5,654 targets, including 212 cleanliness sites, 3,006 physical files, and 2,366 e-office files. The campaign has completed 3,563 activities, freeing 62,691 square feet of office space and generating ₹64,58,145 from scrap disposal while tracking progress on social media.

Indian Railways achieved an all-time record in coal loading, registering a 22.5% growth in October 2026 up to 18th October compared to the previous year, dispatching 87 more coal rakes per day. During the first half of FY 2026-27, an average of 430 coal rakes per day were dispatched to thermal power plants, a 7.1% increase over the corresponding period last year. Coal rake dispatches also increased by 14% per day in September 2026 compared to September 2025. This transportation is supported by coordination between the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Coal, and Ministry of Power to meet the country's energy requirements and maintain coal stocks amid rising energy consumption, higher industrial production, and deficient rainfall.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that the world is entering an era of AI-guided, gene-driven precision medicine, with India emerging among frontline providers of advanced healthcare solutions. Addressing the 42nd Convocation of SRIHER in Chennai, he highlighted India's progress in indigenous medical research, including an indigenous DNA vaccine against COVID-19, ongoing vaccine work on dengue and malaria, gene therapy for haemophilia, and indigenous drug development such as nafithromycin for community-acquired bacterial pneumonia. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Nagpur, inaugurated a Saturation Campaign for re-KYC and Financial Inclusion (FI) Schemes at Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur. Held in accordance with the directions of the Department of Financial Services and the RBI, the nationwide campaign runs from October 21, 2026, to December 31, 2026. It aims to facilitate re-KYC, C-KYC, nomination facilities, access to social security schemes, and generate awareness regarding digital frauds. Outreach activities include LED displays, public announcements, and the distribution of awareness materials and pamphlets to visitors.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is actively implementing Special Campaign 6 for Swachhata, aimed at improving office cleanliness, disposing of scrap and e-waste, weeding out redundant files, freeing up office space, and resolving public grievances and references. Conducted in accordance with DARPG guidelines, the campaign features a preparatory phase and an implementation phase. Key achievements during the first two weeks include cleanliness drives at over 1,200 sites, disposal of scrap, weeding out of more than 14,000 files, freeing up nearly 55,000 square feet of space, and resolving over 13,000 public grievances. Regional field formations have also undertaken specific initiatives such as public cleanliness drives, 'Waste to Art' exhibitions, space optimization like mini-libraries, e-waste management, and green initiatives.

SAEINDIA is scheduled to host the 23rd Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference (APAC 23) from November 13–14, 2026, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) and its subordinate offices organized a dedicated One-Day Cleanliness Drive on 7th October 2026 as part of Special Campaign 6. The initiative focused on workplace cleanliness, waste management, environmental sustainability, and efficient office space utilization. Comprehensive activities were conducted at multiple sites by MoSPI divisions including the Field Operations Division, Household Survey Division, Enterprise Survey Division, National Statistical Systems Training Academy, Data Informatics & Innovation Division, and the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata. India hosted the AgriVoltaics World Conference 2026 for the first time in the Global South, jointly inaugurated by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy. The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is launching the nationwide 'Khet Bachao Abhiyan – Rabi 2026' campaign from 22 October to 30 November 2026, initiated by Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Karnal, Haryana. The campaign focuses on promoting sustainable agriculture, improving soil health, and encouraging the judicious use of agricultural resources based on soil testing. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is hosting the 7th edition of the AgriVoltaics World Conference (AWC) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted an Industry Outreach Programme in New Delhi on 21 October 2026 to engage with MSMEs, startups, and industry partners regarding its long-term capability requirements in unmanned and autonomous systems. The SARAS Mela 2026, organised under the Centre's Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), connects rural women entrepreneurs with wider markets, buyers, and business opportunities. The Vijayawada edition in Andhra Pradesh marks the first National SARAS Mela held outside the Delhi-NCR region, featuring around 1,500 women Self-Help Group (SHG) entrepreneurs and Lakhpati Didis from 34 states and Union Territories across more than 650 stalls. The event integrates dedicated thematic pavilions—such as the Lakhpati Didi Pavilion, Learning and Knowledge Pavilion, Convergence Pavilion, and Demonstration Pavilion—along with an India Food Court, cultural showcases, and digital platforms like the eSARAS app to support women-led micro-enterprises and the Lakhpati Didi income-growth initiative.
