Kashi Tamil Sangamam 5.0 to be organised from Nov 28 to Dec 12, 2026, on the theme “Thirukkural Payilvom – Thirukkural Abhyas Karen”

The Ministry of Education launched the registration portal for the fifth edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 5.0), scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 12, 2026. The programme aims to celebrate and strengthen civilisational bonds between Tamil Nadu and Kashi under the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The theme for 2026 is "Thirukkural Payilvom – Thirukkural Abhyas Karen," focusing on the ethical and moral wisdom of the classical Tamil text Thirukkural. Organized in collaboration with institutions like IIT Madras, BHU, and the Central Institute of Classical Tamil, the initiative features a journey for around 1,400 participants from Tamil Nadu across Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, alongside nation-wide educational outreach and student engagement programmes in higher education institutions.
