India hosts Agrivoltaics World Conference 2026
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is hosting the 7th edition of the AgriVoltaics World Conference (AWC) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Supported by Germany's Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV) and organized in partnership with Conexio-PSE under the theme "Powering the Global South," this marks the first time the summit is hosted in the Global South. The conference focuses on transforming farmers from Annadatas (food producers) into Urjadatas (clean-energy producers) through innovation-driven agrivoltaics. During the event, key knowledge resources including a Decision-Making Tool, a Book of Abstracts, and the AgriPV Policy Handbook were launched to promote precision agrivoltaics, climate resilience, and rural economic growth.
