INDIAN AIR FORCE ENGAGES INDUSTRY OUTREACH PROGRAMME ON UNMANNED AND AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS ROADMAP ON 21 OCT 26

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted an Industry Outreach Programme in New Delhi on 21 October 2026 to engage with MSMEs, startups, and industry partners regarding its long-term capability requirements in unmanned and autonomous systems. Chaired by Air Marshal Premkumar K, the event built upon the 'IAF Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Roadmap' released during IAF Dronathon 2026 at Pokhran on 14 September 2026. The programme distributed the roadmap booklet to industry partners to enhance understanding of operational requirements. The initiative emphasizes indigenous capabilities, including indigenous propulsion, autonomous software, resilient navigation, and standardized interfaces, supporting self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) in defense technology.
