The Department of Posts, Goa Division, has announced a temporary suspension of Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) services at the Margao Head Post Office and its affiliated post offices. At the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP-17) in Yerevan, Armenia, India reaffirmed its commitment to biodiversity conservation and the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Startup India has recognized over 2.50 lakh startups across 770+ districts, generating over 25.42 lakh jobs. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released the telecom subscription data for September 2026. The report covers total telephone and broadband subscribers, growth across mobile and landline connections, urban-rural subscriber distribution, tele-density, active mobile users based on Visitor Location Register (VLR) data, and Mobile Number Portability (MNP) requests. Total telephone subscribers in India rose to 1,367.93 million at the end of September 2026, registering a monthly growth rate of 0.53 percent, with an overall tele-density of 95.52 percent. The 33rd edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX-2026), hosted by the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, concluded on October 26, 2026.
