Joint Declaration 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum New Delhi, India 26-27 October 2026

The Lok Sabha Secretariat hosted the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in New Delhi under the theme 'Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development.' Presiding officers and parliamentarians from BRICS member countries (Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, South Africa, and the UAE) and partner countries convened to reinforce inter-parliamentary cooperation across political, economic, and cultural pillars. The joint declaration highlights commitments to sustainable development under the 2030 Agenda, UN reforms including the Security Council, climate action, harnessing digital technologies and artificial intelligence, reforming global governance to amplify the voice of the Global South, combating terrorism, and peaceful resolution of international conflicts.
