The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has advanced trust-based governance through startup support, regulatory reforms, and digital single-window clearances. Startup India has recognized over 2.50 lakh startups across 770+ districts, generating over 25.42 lakh jobs. Additionally, 47,957 compliances have been reduced, 900 legal provisions decriminalised under the Jan Vishwas Acts, and labour laws consolidated into four codes. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policies have been liberalised, resulting in USD 843 billion in FDI over 12 years. The National Single Window System (NSWS) continues to streamline approvals through digital integration and multi-language accessibility.
