The Ministry of Earth Sciences, through the Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology (CMLRE) in Kochi, runs a programme to assess and monitor Marine Living Resources (MLR) in India’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Between 2023 and 2026, CMLRE conducted about 19 surveys covering fishery resources and marine biodiversity. Data generated are used for sustainable MLR management, marine conservation and evidence‑based policy, including eight‑year fishery yield estimates, identification of Ecologically & Biologically Significant Areas, biodiversity inventories, genomic reference libraries, and fish spawning grounds. The Ministry of Electronics & IT reported that as of 31 July 2026, the UMANG app hosts about 2,575 services (880 Central, 1,695 State) and DigiLocker offers 5,437 document types/services (661 Central, 4,776 State). UMANG has over 11.66 crore registered users with roughly 798 crore transactions in the past three years, while DigiLocker records more than 72.43 crore users and 72.86 crore document‑access transactions. The Ministry of Cooperation has created Bhartiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) under the Multi‑State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 to serve as an apex body for the production, processing, branding, packaging, storage, marketing and R&D of quality seeds. BBSSL has launched seeds of 18 crops and 124 varieties under the ‘Bharat Beej’ brand and, in FY 2025‑26, produced 75,535 metric tonnes of seeds through its associated farmers. The Ministry of Electronics & IT’s SAMRIDH (Startup Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development, and Growth) programme, which aims to accelerate about 300 startups across sectors such as health‑tech, ed‑tech, agri‑tech, consumer‑tech, fin‑tech, SaaS and sustainability, concluded on 31 January 2026. In Andhra Pradesh, one accelerator – Kalpataru Centre of Excellence (CoE) by AIC STPINEXT Initiatives – was selected. Through this accelerator, five startups (Aerogravity, Cairovision, Epsum Labs, Scraptechies Solutions and Voptimaise Climate Tech Solutions) received financial support, with ₹2 lakh per startup to the accelerator and matching funding up to ₹40 lakh per startup. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has launched the National‑level Network Program on Precision Agriculture (ICAR‑NePPA) involving 16 ICAR institutes. The programme develops and validates AI, IoT, sensor, drone and satellite‑based technologies for crop, soil, post‑harvest, aquaculture and livestock management. Demonstrated interventions include sensor‑based irrigation, drone spraying, AI‑driven decision support tools, precision shrimp farming (120‑150 t/ha/yr), smart micro‑irrigation, hydroponics, agrivoltaic farming and AI‑enabled disease‑early‑warning systems. Field demonstrations have covered over 41,000 ha, benefitting more than 4.5 lakh farmers, and have shown gains in productivity, farmer income, water‑use efficiency and reduced CO₂ emissions.
