Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan Interacts with Farmers at Kisan Chaupal in Haryana’s Karnal, Calls for Balanced Fertiliser Use and Natural Farming

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the nationwide 'Khet Bachao Abhiyan' from Taraori in Haryana’s Karnal district. During an interactive Kisan Chaupal, he urged farmers to avoid excessive chemical fertiliser use based on herd mentality, advocating instead for the use of Soil Health Cards to apply balanced nutrition. He shared personal experiences supporting the viability of natural farming, suggesting farmers start on at least one acre using correct methods such as Jeevamrit, Ghanjeevamrit, and Beejamrit. The event also included discussions on indigenous cattle conservation, sex-sorted semen technology, and milk market values. Additionally, the minister praised Haryana farmers for adopting stubble management practices and Super Seeder technology to curb pollution.
