12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum to be Held in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan on 26–27 October 2026: Lok Sabha Speaker

The Parliament of India is set to host the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan on 26–27 October 2026 under India's chairship. Announced by Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, the conference brings together Presiding Officers, Members of Parliament, and parliamentary leaders from BRICS member and partner countries. The overarching theme of the forum is 'Strengthening Parliaments for People-Centric Development' (also noted as 'Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development'). Discussions will span four high-level sessions covering institutional resilience, human-centred innovation in AI and digital technologies, global governance reforms, and sustainability, alongside a special meeting of International Affairs Committee Chairpersons.
