The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has advanced trust-based governance through startup support, regulatory reforms, and digital single-window clearances. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has issued an advisory titled ‘Women’s Safety at Work and Public Spaces’ to ten Union Ministries, the Railway Board, and the Chief Secretaries or Administrators of all States and Union Territories. The 33rd edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX-2026), hosted by the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, concluded on October 26, 2026. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released the telecom subscription data for September 2026. The report covers total telephone and broadband subscribers, growth across mobile and landline connections, urban-rural subscriber distribution, tele-density, active mobile users based on Visitor Location Register (VLR) data, and Mobile Number Portability (MNP) requests.
