Designed for Indian-origin youth, students, and professionals living abroad, the initiative provides information on nation-building, volunteering initiatives, and youth-led programs on MY Bharat. It includes a ‘Know Your India’ section featuring curated content on India's culture, heritage, history, and prominent leaders. The parent platform, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), was launched on 31 October 2023 to connect youth with experiential learning, volunteering, and national campaigns.

The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has successfully migrated the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) Portal to the SAMAVESH Portal, which was developed by the National e Governance Division. Following this migration, the previous portal has been discontinued and is no longer accessible. The Ministry has announced new links and QR codes for the NMBA Portal, e-Pledge, Nasha Mukti Mitr Registration, NMBA Login, and the NMBA Mobile App. All line ministries, departments, and stakeholders are instructed to update their official communications, websites, and IEC materials to reflect the new SAMAVESH Portal links while keeping existing login credentials valid.

The Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education has extended the online registration deadline for Yuva Sangam Phase VII until August 31, 2026. Yuva Sangam is a youth exchange programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative, designed for youth aged 18 to 30 years, including higher education students, NSS/NYKS volunteers, and young professionals. The programme features 20 nodal Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) hosting five to seven day educational and cultural tours to paired States and Union Territories. It is structured around five thematic pillars: Paryatan, Parampara, Pragati, Paraspar Sampark, and Prodyogiki, aligning with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Starting in 2017, he received financial assistance of ₹35,000 per month under the fellowship scheme, which helped him overcome economic barriers, maintain stability, and focus on his scientific research without major financial stress. The assistance enabled him to successfully complete his doctorate and work as a Research Associate in agricultural sciences.

The meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Rural Development was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2026 amends the MMDR Act, 1957 to establish a uniform and balanced fiscal framework for the mining sector. The Act introduces Section 9D, restricting State Governments from levying fresh taxes, cesses, or charges on mineral rights and mineral-bearing lands unless prescribed by the Central Government. It declares any unpaid or uncollected past levies invalid while protecting amounts already deposited. Furthermore, the Act empowers the Central Government under Section 13 to frame rules governing such levies, aiming to eliminate fragmented State taxation, remove cumulative burdens on strategic and critical minerals, and foster long-term investment, energy security, and national market uniformity without disturbing the revenue share of States.

India’s trade agreement strategy is transitioning from expanding its network of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to achieving fuller utilization of market access. In FY 2025-26, combined merchandise and services exports reached US$ 863.1 billion, with merchandise exports at US$ 441.8 billion, continuing with an estimated US$ 232.73 billion during April-June 2026. India's coconut sector supports roughly 30 million people, including 10 million farmers, and ranks first globally in production, accounting for 31.24 percent of the world's total. Keralam leads in cultivation area, Tamil Nadu in production, and Andhra Pradesh in productivity. The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has notified the sixth Positive Indigenisation List containing 405 strategically important items, including line replaceable units, sub-systems, sub-assemblies, spares, components, and raw materials, with an estimated business potential of Rs 3,070 crore. The list covers items for air platforms, armoured platforms, warships, missile systems, defence electronics, and ammunition for Defence Public Sector Undertakings and the Indian Coast Guard. The 97th Annual General Meeting of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Society was held in New Delhi, chaired by the Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. An agreement has been signed between Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) under the Department of Telecommunications, the Government of Chhattisgarh, CSBIL, BSNL, and CHiPS to implement the Amended BharatNet Program in Chhattisgarh under a State-led model. The Union Government has approved financial support of ₹3,942 crore for the rollout. The program covers 11,682 Gram Panchayats—including the upgradation of 4,048 Phase I Gram Panchayats to ring topology, coverage of 5,964 Phase II Gram Panchayats, and 1,670 newly created Gram Panchayats—along with providing on-demand connectivity to 8,328 villages. The initiative aims to enable over three lakh rural home fibre connections and improve digital service delivery such as e-governance, education, telemedicine, and digital payments.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Regional Centre Mumbai held a press interaction regarding the Khelo India Revamped Scheme (2026–31). The 7th BRICS ICT Working Group Meeting in Pune focused on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and digital governance. During the second day of the BRICS ICT Track, the Focus Group on DPI received national updates and considered India's presentation on its DPI, along with concept notes for a BRICS Digital Public Infrastructure Repository and BRICS Pilot Projects of DPI Solutions. Additionally, the Digital BRICS Task Force reviewed its activities, discussed draft Terms of Reference for new expert groups on Digital Applications and Digital Governance, and covered other areas including capacity building, submarine cable networks, and digital ecosystem cooperation.

Raichur in Karnataka has transformed the 35-acre Yakalaspura dumpsite into a green asset through scientific legacy waste remediation under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0). Approximately 62,252 metric tonnes of legacy waste were processed, reclaiming nearly 22 acres of urban land. On 5 June 2026, the site was inaugurated after plantation activities commenced, featuring a Miyawaki forest developed across 5–7 acres with 60,000 saplings of bamboo and native species. The project was executed in collaboration with the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited and New India Space Limited, aiming to enhance biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and air quality.
