Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal concluded a two-day official visit to Berlin, Germany, on 23 October 2026. The visit featured engagements with senior German government officials, including a bilateral meeting with the Economic and Financial Policy Advisor and G7/G20 Sherpa at the German Federal Chancellery, Mr. Levin Holle. Discussions centered on expanding bilateral trade, investment, advanced manufacturing, research, and emerging technologies. The Minister also met business leaders from organizations such as Siemens Healthineers AG, Bertelsmann Investments, and Volkswagen AG/Škoda Auto. Additionally, he interacted with Indian science and technology researchers, students, and representatives of Fraunhofer Institutes to explore research collaboration and industry-academia partnerships.
