SHILP SAMAGAM MELA 2026-Guwahati

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is organizing the 8-day Shilp Samagam Mela 2026 at Farm Gate, Khanapara, Guwahati. It is the second edition of the Mela series for the financial year 2026-27, following the first held in Mysuru. The event features 75 artisans, including 31 women, displaying approximately 40 varieties of handloom and handicraft products. The initiative aims to provide a platform for artisans from Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Safai Mitras, and Denotified Tribes—supported by the NSFDC, NSKFDC, and NBCFDC—to exhibit, sell directly, expand market reach, and foster entrepreneurship. A key focus is promoting the BHARAT-TULIP initiative for physical and e-commerce marketing linkages.
