Capacity Building Commission was conceptualised by PM Narendra Modi ji who had initiated a series of governance reforms soon after he took over in 2014, says Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the third regional workshop of 'Sadhana Shrinkhla 2026' in Lucknow, highlighting that Mission Karmayogi and the Capacity Building Commission represent a fundamental governance shift from a rule-based to a role-based approach. The two-day workshop, organized in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, brought together representatives from eight States and four UTs to transform training institutions into competency-driven Capacity Building Institutions. The Minister outlined various administrative reforms since 2014—including CPGRAMS, Digital Life Certificates, Rozgar Melas, and the removal of gazetted officer attestation requirements—aimed at improving public service delivery, enhancing transparency, and building citizen trust. He also noted Uttar Pradesh's high registration numbers on the iGOT Karmayogi platform and its participation in UNNATI.
