CAQM reviews Paddy Stubble Management measures in Amritsar and Tarn Taran

The Chairperson of the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) led a high-level review meeting with district officials of Amritsar and Tarn Taran in Punjab to evaluate paddy stubble management measures and address stubble burning incidents. The review focused on in-situ and ex-situ utilisation infrastructure, sector-wise nodal officer compliance for industrial fuel usage, timely field-level access to machinery through Custom Hiring Centres, and intensified preventive actions in high-incidence districts like Tarn Taran. The team also inspected facilities using paddy stubble pellets as boiler fuel.
