INDIAN NAVY’S FLAGSHIP EVENT SWAVLAMBAN 2026 TO FOCUS ON EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND INDIGENOUS DEFENCE CAPABILITIES

The Ministry of Defence announced that the fifth edition of the Indian Navy's flagship event, Swavlamban 2026, will be held in New Delhi on October 26–27, 2026, under the theme 'Strength & Power through Innovation and Indigenisation'. Organized in collaboration with the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), the seminar aims to connect operational requirements with Indian industry, startups, MSMEs, and academia to boost defence self-reliance and Aatmanirbharta. The event features a thematic exhibition on Maritime Surveillance, Counter UAS, AI, and Quantum Technologies, alongside deliberations on future warfare technologies, venture capital engagement, and the release of the Swavlamban 5.0 document and the Compendium on Technology Imperatives.
