The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released results of an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted from 9‑13 June 2026 across Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts (West Bengal LSA). The Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA), an industry‑academia society, grew to 90 members by 15 July 2026 and has set up seven working groups covering 6G technologies, spectrum, applications, devices, green aspects and outreach.
