The Bharat Forecast System (BharatFS) uses a newly implemented Triangular Cubic Octahedral (TCo) dynamical grid to operate at a 6 km horizontal resolution, surpassing the earlier GFS T1534 (~12 km) and typical global models (9–14 km). Real‑time prediction is enabled by the MoES supercomputing facilities Arka (IITM‑Pune) and Arunika (NCMRWF‑Noida). The system generates forecasts every 6 km, allowing localized predictions for clusters of panchayats/villages, aiding farmers in crop planning and water authorities in reservoir management, and improving extreme rainfall prediction over the core monsoon region. Developed indigenously by Indian institutions, it aligns with strategic, economic and “Make in India” objectives and enhances regional leadership in meteorological services.

The National Cooperative Database records 2,27,177 cooperative societies in Maharashtra as of 15 July 2026. The Central Sector project for computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), launched in 2022, has been expanded to 79,630 PACS with a revised outlay of ₹2,925.39 crore, and Maharashtra has received ₹29.14 crore in assistance (₹9.14 crore in FY 2025‑26 and ₹20.00 crore in FY 2026‑27). The Ministry of Cooperation reports that Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited (STCL), registered under the Multi‑State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, was set up on 6 June 2025 and launched on 5 February 2026. STCL runs the Bharat Taxi platform on a zero‑commission, cooperative‑owner model where drivers (Sarathis) become members, sit on the Board of Management and share surplus. As of the release, 7.76 lakh Sarathis and 40.84 lakh customers have been verified and registered respectively, with operations presently in Delhi‑NCR and Gujarat. The 33rd edition of *Energy Statistics India 2026* released by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation reports that India’s Total Primary Energy Supply (TPES) for 2024‑25 was 39,055 Petajoules, up from 37,936 Petajoules in 2023‑24. Renewable energy potential as of 31 Mar 2025 stood at 4,704,043 MW, compared with 2,109,655 MW on 31 Mar 2024. The Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) does not have a formal branch office in Bihar, but operates through a field official who coordinates seed distribution, business development and monitoring. BBSSL conducts its seed business in the state via Bihar Rajya Beej Nigam Limited, the designated nodal agency, and collaborates with local cooperative institutions and other stakeholders. In the financial year 2026‑27, BBSSL directly supplied seeds to 20 cooperative societies in Bihar, expanding its cooperative‑based distribution network. The agency follows a farmer‑centric pricing model, paying producers the highest of (i) MSP plus at least 10 % incentive, (ii) prevailing mandi price, or (iii) the State Seed Corporation’s procurement rate. The National Cooperative Development Corporation has cumulatively disbursed ₹3,352.03 crore for Odisha’s cooperative sector up to 30 June 2026. The Ministry of Cooperation is promoting AI and digital platforms in cooperative training institutions such as the Rural Innovation and Cooperative Management (RICM) centre in Chandigarh, Punjab. Initiatives include smart classrooms equipped with interactive digital boards, projectors and ICT‑enabled tools, blended learning via e‑content, online classes and Learning Management Systems, and faculty training in ICT tools and digital pedagogy. The Ministry of Cooperation has reviewed the National Cooperation Policy (NCP) 2025, establishing a national‑level ‘Policy Implementation and Monitoring Committee’ (first meeting on 09‑06‑2026) and a ‘National Steering Committee on Cooperation Policy’ chaired by the Union Minister of Cooperation. The policy outlines six strategic pillars, 16 objectives and 83 recommendations for a ten‑year horizon. A National Cooperative Database (NCD) has been created, covering over 8.5 lakh cooperative societies across 30 sectors and roughly 30 crore members, with state‑wise data compiled in Annexure‑A. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) carried out an intelligence‑led operation in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, where it uncovered a fully functional clandestine laboratory for manufacturing the synthetic psychotropic drug mephedrone. The raid seized 1.349 kg of mephedrone, 6.825 kg of the precursor 2‑Bromo‑4‑Methylpropiophenone, 120 litres of monomethylamine, 60 kg of hydrobromic acid, 40 litres of toluene and other mixed acids, all under the NDPS Act, 1985. In addition, Rs 20 lakh in cash was recovered, and a further Rs 1 lakh was seized from an intended receiver, bringing total arrests to three persons. The operation disrupted plans for large‑scale production.

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying briefed the Rajya Sabha on measures to boost veterinary services, advance the White Revolution 2.0, and improve humane stray‑dog management. Under the Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme, the Centre provides full funding for vaccinations against FMD, Brucellosis, PPR and Classical Swine Fever, and operates 4,019 mobile veterinary units across 29 states and UTs. Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired a high‑level review of the Totapuri mango value chain after a committee visit to Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The expert committee, constituted under ICAR, identified low real‑pulp content in mango‑based drinks, inadequate processing capacity and old orchards as key reasons for falling farmer incomes.
