The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has issued a competency‑based curriculum for the two‑year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) via a notification dated 1 July 2026. Institutions offering DMLT must adopt the curriculum from the 2026‑27 academic year, with mandatory implementation from 2027‑28. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched ‘VISHWAS, 2026’, a one‑time, six‑month scheme (effective 29 June 2026) to amicably settle disputes concerning damages or penalties under Section 14B of the EPF Act, 1952 and Section 128 of the Code on Social Security, 2020. The scheme offers reduced interest rates – 0.25 % per month for defaults up to two months, 0.50 % for two‑to‑four months, and 1.00 % for defaults beyond four months – provided employers have fully paid the statutory interest and commit not to appeal further. It covers four categories of cases, excludes fraud‑related or fully recovered cases, and operates through a fully digital application process via the EPFO Employer Portal with dedicated VISHWAS cells for implementation.

The Government of India has notified the commencement of the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022 and the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Act, 2025. Probationers of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 17 July 2026. The Office of Economic Adviser, DPIIT, will release a revised Index of Core Industries (ICI) series with base year 2022‑23 on 20 July 2026. The new series replaces the 2011‑12 base, includes a provisional ICI for June 2026 and a back‑series covering April 2023‑May 2026 (38 months), and expands the basket from eight to nine core industries by adding iron ore.
