The Ministry of Railways hosted the third Bharat CPSEs' Consultative Conclave 2026 at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, focusing on project execution, asset management and organisational excellence for Energy and Mining CPSEs. The Ministry of Culture announced that the "Ancient Buddhist Site of Sarnath" was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List during the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, South Korea. This marks India’s 45th World Heritage property. The site includes the Chaukhandi Stupa and archaeological remains such as the Dhamekh Stupa, Ashokan Pillar, and Mulagandgakuti Vihara in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It was nominated under criteria (iii) and (vi) for its spiritual significance and direct association with Buddha’s first sermon. The inscription follows a rigorous 18‑month evaluation involving ICOMOS and other advisory bodies, and underscores the Archaeological Survey of India’s conservation work.

The Start‑up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP), launched in 2016 as a sub‑scheme of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana‑National Rural Livelihoods Mission, supports non‑farm enterprises through training, finance, mentoring and community‑led institutional support. By 30 June 2026, it had assisted 4.32 lakh rural enterprises, with 86 % of entrepreneurs belonging to SC, ST, minority or OBC groups and 75 % of enterprises owned or managed by women. The e‑Courts Phase‑III (2023‑2027), approved on 13 Sept 2023 with an outlay of Rs 7,210 crore, aims to create paper‑less courts through large‑scale digitisation, virtual hearings and emerging technologies such as AI, analytics and OCR. Under the programme, 2,977 court complexes have bandwidth of 10‑100 Mbps; 1.21 crore cases have been filed via e‑filing; e‑payments have processed court‑fee transactions worth Rs 1,594 crore and fines of Rs 97 crore; CIS 4.0 is operational in all courts, receiving more than 35.57 lakh FIRs and 38.36 lakh charge‑sheets digitally. Over 4.15 crore hearings have been conducted via video conferencing, 734 crore pages of records digitised, and a Judicial Digital Trustworthy Repository established. Additional initiatives include the JustIS app (22,534 downloads), 31 virtual traffic courts, 2,515 e‑Sewa Kendras, the AI‑based LegRAA tool and the S3WaaS platform hosting 730 court websites. Fast‑track special courts (775 courts, including 398 e‑POCSO courts) have disposed 387,481 cases, and arrears committees have been set up in all 25 High Courts and District Courts.

The Ministry of Law and Justice reported that Odisha has expanded its digital justice infrastructure under the e‑Courts Mission Mode Project, Tele‑Law Programme, NALSA and Gram Nyayalaya Scheme. Sixteen ADR centres have been built in 16 districts, while mediation centres operate in the remaining 14 districts. The state has one virtual court for traffic challan adjudication and 817 e‑court rooms (including 28 newly created) across 30 districts. Tele‑Law services via 6,797 Common Service Centres have delivered over 1.13 crore pre‑litigation legal advice, and 332 legal aid clinics are functional. Additionally, 24 Gram Nyayalayas are operational in 24 locations.

The Prime Minister will interact with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026 on 26 July 2026 at 4:30 PM via video‑conferencing. The programme, implemented through MY Bharat, was conducted in two phases from 4 June to 30 June 2026, covering 74 villages in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Ministry of Jal Shakti’s Catch the Rain Campaign (4 July–4 August 2026) is being executed in Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh. Scientific planning across all 489 Gram Panchayats led to the identification, sanction and 100 % grounding of 2,103 water‑conservation works. Under the programme, 2,691 km of feeder and supply channels have been desilted, 251 minor irrigation tanks are being restored (225 completed), and the district’s network of 22,221 farm ponds, 2,221 check dams and 202 percolation tanks has been strengthened. Technical estimates indicate an added 3.27 TMC of tank storage and 0.03 TMC from newly created structures, enhancing rainwater capture, groundwater recharge and long‑term water security.

India’s first hydrogen‑fuel‑cell train was flagged off on 17 July 2026 between Jind and Sonipat. In its initial run of over 1,200 km it has saved more than 3,200 litres of diesel. The 10‑coach train uses two hydrogen‑driving power cars delivering a combined 2,400 kW, supplemented by lithium‑iron‑phosphate batteries and hydrogen cylinders. Green hydrogen is stored at up to 500 bar (dispensed at 350 bar) with a capacity of about 3,000 kg, marking the Railway’s first dedicated hydrogen storage facility at Jind.
