Helicopter belonging to M/S Transbharat Aviation Pvt Ltd crashes at Joshimath in Uttarakhand

On October 30, 2026, a helicopter operated by M/S Transbharat Aviation Pvt Ltd (registration VT-HCX, type AS350B3) crashed in a forest area near Chai village in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. The flight had taken off from Badrinath helipad at 1314 hrs en route to Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun with one pilot and five passengers onboard. Search and rescue operations were initiated after locating the wreckage, and a team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation was dispatched for a preliminary and regulatory assessment.
