Department of Financial Services Achieves Significant Milestones under Special Campaign 6; Frees Up Nearly 7 Lakh Sq. Ft. Office Space and Generates ₹4.12 Crore from Scrap Disposal

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance achieved significant milestones during Special Campaign 6 for Swachhata and Disposal of Pending Matters. Executed alongside public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and regulators, the campaign covered over 1.20 lakh cleanliness sites. It freed up nearly 7 lakh square feet of office space, generated over ₹4.12 crore from scrap and e-waste disposal, and disposed of thousands of public grievances and appeals. Initiatives also featured 'Waste to Art' projects emphasizing a circular economy and public awareness campaigns on cyber security.
