The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 14,000 crore in Banaskantha, Gujarat. The initiatives span various sectors including agriculture, animal husbandry, infrastructure, and social welfare, such as modern Anganwadis and railway services. The Prime Minister highlighted government measures for farmer welfare, including the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi disbursement, fertilizer price shielding, MSP commitments, the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, and the PM-KUSUM scheme. He also emphasized integration of science and technology in dairy and animal husbandry through initiatives like the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, indigenous breed conservation, and a new research center in Banaskantha.
