15TH MEETING OF REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR NARMADA CONTROL AUTHORITY (RCNCA) ADOPTS THE OPINION OF Ld. AGI AND THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT DATED 7TH JULY, 2026 AND APPROVES THE MODALITIES FOR PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING DUES OF NWDT AWARD PROJECTS WITHIN THIS FINANCIAL YEAR 2026-27

The 15th meeting of the Review Committee for Narmada Control Authority (RCNCA) was held under the chairmanship of the Union Minister of Jal Shakti, with the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan participating. The committee adopted the opinion of the Learned Attorney General for India and the Memorandum of Agreement signed on 7th July, 2026. This agreement serves as a one-time settlement for long-term inter-state disputes regarding cost-sharing and pending financial liabilities for the Sardar Sarovar Project and NWDT Award Projects. The RCNCA approved modalities for clearing outstanding dues within the financial year 2026-27.
