The 93rd Meeting of the General Council of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation. The meeting reviewed NCDC's financial and institutional achievements, noting cumulative financial assistance disbursements exceeding ₹4.14 lakh crore from the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation up to October 2026, a net profit of ₹1,475 crore, a loan recovery rate of 99.84 per cent, and zero net NPAs in FY 2025–26. Discussions focused on future disbursement targets, expanding cooperative networks in the North-East to achieve self-reliance in milk, eggs, fish, and meat by 2030, building circular economies around cooperative sugar mills, implementing the National Cooperative Development Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2026, and promoting innovation through the Sahakar Navachar Yojana.
