Indian Navy Assists Goa Fire Services in Containing Major Fire at Vasco Market

The Indian Navy provided emergency assistance to the Goa State Fire and Emergency Services to control a major fire at Vasco Market, Goa, on October 28, 2026. Following a request from local civil authorities, the Navy deployed five Defence Fire Tenders from INS Gomantak, INS Hansa, and the Naval Armament Depot under the Headquarters, Goa Naval Area. The joint operation between naval firefighting teams and civil services successfully contained the incident.
