PM chairs 54th PRAGATI Meeting

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 54th meeting of PRAGATI, an ICT-enabled multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation. During the meeting, infrastructure projects worth over ₹16,000 crore across 31 States and Union Territories—covering sectors like Railways, Ekta Malls, and Bulk Drug Parks—were reviewed. The Prime Minister emphasized prioritizing domestic production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), integrating Ekta Malls with local businesses and tourism, developing major railway stations as multimodal transport hubs, and shifting governance focus from outlays to outcomes. He also instructed Chief Secretaries to monthly review welfare schemes with District Magistrates to plug implementation gaps.
