Vice-President of India and Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan Meets Delegation of European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET)

The Vice-President of India and Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan met a delegation from the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), led by H.E. Mr. David McAllister, at Parliament House in New Delhi. The discussions emphasized India-EU relations, highlighting shared foundations as large democracies and open market economies with a combined market of around USD 25 trillion and nearly two billion people. Key areas discussed included the proposed Free Trade Agreement, institutional linkages established since 2025, the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC), and India’s association with the Horizon Europe programme. The Chairman also offered condolences regarding a tragic train accident in Spain.
