Sports and Education Ministries sign historic MoU with UNESCO to take clean sport values to every classroom
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Ministry of Education, and UNESCO have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) India’s Clean Sport Conclave to introduce the ‘Sports Values in Every Classroom Toolkit’. The initiative aims to integrate values like respect, integrity, and fairness into children's education through everyday classroom activities and video modules available in 13 Indian languages. Union officials noted that the partnership aligns with the Khelo Bharat Niti 2025. Furthermore, the government highlighted steps against doping, including over 7,000 tests conducted by NADA in 2025–26, supplementary testing facilities at NFSU Gandhinagar and NIPER Hyderabad, the enforcement of the National Anti-Doping Act, and forthcoming legislative provisions for the criminalisation of doping-related activities.
