Raksha Mantri meets US Secretary of War on the sidelines of ADMM-Plus in Philippines

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh met US Secretary of War Mr Pete Hegseth on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Cebu, Philippines, on October 28, 2026. The meeting reviewed progress under the India-US Major Defence Partnership and the 10-year India-US Defence Framework, exploring avenues for operational readiness, technology sharing, defence industrial integration, military-to-military exchanges, and maritime security collaboration. Both leaders emphasized a joint commitment to eliminating terrorism, with the Raksha Mantri calling for zero tolerance towards nations supporting terrorist organizations, and the US Secretary reaffirming solidarity against cross-border terrorism. They noted the partnership as a cornerstone for a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific.
