Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Strengthens Swachhata Drives and Promotes Good Governance under Special Campaign 6

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) and its organisations are actively implementing Special Campaign 6 to promote Swachhata, digital transformation, and good governance. The campaign focuses on e-waste and scrap disposal, records management, space optimisation, and grievance redressal. Achievements reported include conducting 173 cleanliness campaigns, reviewing 33,199 files (with 9,808 closed or weeded out), generating Rs. 9.79 crores from scrap and e-waste disposal, and freeing 88,171 sq. ft. of space. Notable initiatives include the transformation of Kumartuli Ghat by Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, in collaboration with Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd.
