TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality Across Vijayanagara District, Karnataka LSA

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released the findings of an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted in August 2026 across Vijayanagara District in the Karnataka Licensed Service Area (LSA). The tests evaluated real-time mobile network quality, covering voice and data services provided by major Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) across cities, hotspots, and highway routes. Key Quality of Service parameters assessed include coverage gaps, call drop rates, call setup success rates, call silence instances, and data download and upload throughput. The report findings were shared with the respective TSPs for necessary action.
