Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurates World's first- of -its-kind 'Air Pollution Analysis' facility for Delhi NCR

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the world's first 'Integrated Atmospheric Chemistry and Aerosol Toxicity Analysis Laboratory' (AATAL) at IITM's Delhi Branch for the Delhi NCR region. Established under 'Mission Mausam', the facility is designed to go beyond standard AQI numbers to identify real-time sources of air pollution, analyze chemical composition and aerosol toxicity, and assess potential health implications. AATAL is integrated with IITM’s AIRWISE system to provide high-resolution forecasts and support evidence-based decision-making for agencies like the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
