Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda Reviews Healthcare Services and Infrastructure Development at ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri J.P. Nadda reviewed healthcare services, infrastructure development, and upcoming projects at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi. The review covered clinical services, medical education, research activities, and quality improvement measures, noting that the hospital recorded over 19.4 lakh outpatient visits, 82,500 inpatient admissions, and 96,600 surgeries in 2025. Dr. RML Hospital was highlighted as the first Central Government multi-specialty hospital to achieve full National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation in 2025. The Minister emphasized Digital Health Integration through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), mental well-being support for students and faculty, implementation of Project SARATHI, and the institutionalisation of Swachhata under Special Campaign 6.
