Chief of the Air Staff Undertakes flying sortie with Air Wing NCC Cadet

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, undertook a flying sortie with Senior Wing NCC Cadet Jakkula Tejasvi Reddy at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, on October 20, 2026. Prior to the flight, the cadet completed cockpit familiarisation, safety briefings, medical checks, and received a briefing on the Kiran aircraft specifications and safety mechanisms. During the flight, the cadet was guided through flight manoeuvres, flight angles, and steep turns, and was given an opportunity to practise manoeuvres. The initiative aimed to provide practical aviation exposure, encourage aspirations of becoming an aviator, and highlight opportunities for NCC Air Wing cadets in the Defence Forces.
