South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur, to Organise Kasuti Embroidery Workshop from October 26

The South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, operating under the Ministry of Culture, is organizing a five-day workshop on the traditional Kasuti embroidery of Karnataka from October 26 to 30, 2026. The training will be led by National Award-winning artisan Smt. Usha J. Pawar, who has 35 years of experience in the craft. The workshop aims to familiarize participants—particularly students and art enthusiasts—with traditional stitches such as Gavanti, Muragi, Negi, and Menthe, and to encourage the preservation of the craft.
