Union Minister joins Dr Jitendra Singh joins an e-waste disposal activity at DoPT under Special Campaign 6.0

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh participated in an e-waste disposal activity at the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under Special Campaign 6.0. The month-long campaign, conducted from Gandhi Jayanti to Patel Jayanti, focuses on reinforcing cleanliness practices and systematically disposing of scrap using the GeM Portal to unlock residual value. During the event, obsolete IT equipment, electrical items, and furniture totaling a reserve price of about ₹9 lakh were put up for auction. The Minister noted that ₹490 crore had been generated nationally through scrap disposal in the first 15–17 days of the campaign.
