Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar Reviews Functioning of Divisions, Bureaus and Institutions under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment

Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar chaired a high-level meeting to review the functioning of various divisions, bureaus, corporations, and institutions under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The meeting focused on strengthening welfare scheme implementation, enhancing Centre-State and inter-departmental coordination, achieving saturation of eligible beneficiaries, and improving last-mile service delivery. The Minister emphasized a 360-degree and whole-of-government approach, proactive monitoring, corrective measures, and systematic public outreach regarding flagship schemes such as NAPDDR, NMBA, PM-AJAY, NAMASTE, AVYAY, scholarship schemes, and the SMILE initiative.
