Government to Stay Live on Mobile: Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan Launches New Portal for Farmers

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan formally launched the upgraded Agri Welfare Portal. The platform serves as a single-window gateway and digital interface to provide farmers across the country with direct access to government schemes, financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer, and reliable agricultural information directly on their mobile phones. Designed to eliminate intermediaries and procedural hurdles, the portal integrates major initiatives like PM-KISAN, AgriStack, and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. It also brings together Farmer Producer Organisations, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, scientists, researchers, and startups on a common platform. Developed in compliance with MeitY guidelines, it features a lightweight design for rural connectivity and accessibility for persons with disabilities. Special training campaigns will be conducted via Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
