Department of Commerce Organises “Leveraging FTAs” Outreach Programme in Jaipur to Strengthen Export Opportunities
The Department of Commerce organised a 'Leveraging FTAs – Outreach Programme' in Jaipur to raise awareness and promote effective utilisation of India's Free Trade Agreements among exporters. The event brought together government officials, industry associations, and sector representatives to discuss preferential market access, tariff preferences, rules of origin, and quality standards. The programme highlighted India's export growth—recording cumulative merchandise and service exports of US$ 476.20 billion during April–September 2026–27—and focused on sectors such as gems and jewellery, textiles, handicrafts, and agriculture, examining how regional businesses can leverage international trade pacts like those with the UAE, Australia, EFTA, and the UK.
