Building a Life of Equality and Dignity

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment highlighted the journey of Mr. Aniket Adhik Sapkal and Mrs. Meenakshi Hanumant Patole from Maharashtra, who undertook an inter-caste marriage to promote equality, fraternity, and social harmony. After facing initial financial and social challenges, the couple received financial assistance through the Government of Maharashtra’s Inter-Caste Marriage Incentive Scheme, implemented via the Social Welfare Department. This support helped them manage household needs and build a stable future, illustrating the role of targeted government assistance in encouraging social integration and reducing caste barriers.
