The Vice-President of India inaugurated Navaratri Sargotsavam 2026 in Kozhikode, Keralam, organised by Kesari Weekly. During the address, the Vice-President emphasised the philosophy of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi,” stating that India's cultural heritage and development complement each other, much like a banyan tree with deep roots and spreading branches. He highlighted India's shared civilisational heritage under the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and remarked that Navaratri's values of courage over fear, righteousness over injustice, and knowledge over ignorance continue to guide society.
