The Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) inaugurated 'Khadi Mahotsav-2026' at the KVIC Central Office in Mumbai. Organized to promote the 'Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi' and 'Vocal for Local' campaigns, the festival runs from October 2 to October 31, 2026, offering special discounts on Khadi and Village Industries products. The event features 77 units from 12 states showcasing diverse indigenous products. Additionally, KVIC launched the 'Baat Khadi Ki' podcast aimed at engaging Gen Z with the Swadeshi movement, youth entrepreneurship, and contemporary fashion, while highlighting sector progress, including a turnover exceeding ₹1.87 lakh crore for the year 2025-26.
