DGTS, Mumbai Zonal Unit, in association with BCAS organises Webinar on GST Council Recommendations

The Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS), Mumbai Zonal Unit, in association with the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society (BCAS), organized a webinar on the tax recommendations announced during the 57th GST Council Meeting held on October 8, 2026. The event aimed to educate taxpayers, chartered accountants, and professionals on key recommendations concerning GST registration, return filing, refunds, input tax credit, adjudication, and enforcement. Officials highlighted that these measures seek to simplify compliance, reduce procedural difficulties, and improve ease of doing business. Speakers during technical sessions discussed streamlined registration procedures, small sellers on e-commerce platforms, inverted duty structures, and cross-border transactions.
