NFSC Fellowship Empowers Ajay Kumar to Pursue His PhD

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment's National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC) Scheme provided financial assistance to Ajay Kumar, a 33-year-old Ph.D. scholar from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Facing financial constraints for higher education, Ajay began receiving fellowship assistance commencing in January 2024, which includes a fellowship, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and contingency support amounting to Rs 40,700. According to the release, this targeted educational support has helped address financial barriers, improved his academic performance, reduced economic pressures related to his doctoral studies, and strengthened his career outlook.
