Polish Youth Delegation Completes Second Edition of Jamsaheb Memorial Youth Exchange Programme
The second edition of the Jamsaheb Memorial Youth Exchange Programme was held from 7 to 14 October 2026, involving a 19-member Polish youth delegation visiting Gujarat, Maharashtra, and New Delhi. Announced by the Prime Minister during his August 2024 State visit to Poland, the annual exchange forms part of the India–Poland Strategic Partnership's Five-Year Action Plan (2024–2028). The itinerary featured sites of shared historical significance—such as the Balachadi Polish Children’s Camp Memorial in Jamnagar and the Valivade Polish Refugee Camp Memorial in Kolhapur—honoring Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja's humanitarian aid during World War II. The delegates also engaged in cultural and institutional visits, and interacted with senior Indian leadership including the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and the External Affairs Minister.
