BIS Nagpur Celebrates World Standards Day 2026 with Focus on SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch Office celebrated World Standards Day 2026 on 14 October 2026, focusing on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7): Affordable and Clean Energy, under the theme "Shared Vision for a Better World." The event highlighted the role of standardisation in bridging research and development with industrial practices, addressing quality infrastructure gaps, and developing Indian Standards suited to national conditions. Discussions by experts from NPTI, IIM Nagpur, VNIT Nagpur, and CSIR-NEERI covered global and Indian energy scenarios, renewable energy workforce development, project management for SDGs, product innovation, and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) technologies.
