Curtain-raiser for ESTIC 2026 underline importance of Autonomous Systems, Physical AI and Robotics

The curtain-raiser event for the second edition of India’s flagship Science, Technology and Innovations Conclave, Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC 2026), was held on October 15, 2026, at the Department of Science and Technology’s (DST) Technology Bhawan. Scheduled for October 27–29, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the conclave is organized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The event highlighted Autonomous Systems, Physical AI, and Robotics as a core thematic area among its 12 focus areas, underlining applications in manufacturing, precision agriculture, healthcare, logistics, and disaster response. Officials highlighted the role of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems and established Technology Innovation Hubs in translating research into deployable technologies.
