TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality across South Andaman district and Coastal Drive Test from Port Blair to Havelock in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands under West Bengal LSA, during the month of August 2026

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released findings from an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted across the South Andaman district and a coastal route from Port Blair to Havelock under the West Bengal LSA during August 2026. The assessment evaluated real-time voice and data quality of mobile network services provided by various Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). The tests measured parameters such as coverage gaps, dropped call rates, call silence instances, and data download and upload throughput across city drives, hotspots, walk tests, and coastal routes to inform consumers and encourage service improvements.
